Georgia - Road to White Caucasus Mountains
I captured these photos during an unforgettable road trip in November 2024 through the snowy landscapes of the Caucasus Mountains. The breathtaking views and untouched nature of Svaneti, a region in Georgia with the highest peaks rising more than 5,000 metres (16,404 ft) above sea level, left a profound impression. This region is renowned for its iconic medieval Svan towers, symbols of its rich history and culture. Among its highlights is Ushguli, one of the highest continuously inhabited villages in Europe, perched at approximately 2,100 meters above sea level and surrounded by awe-inspiring alpine scenery. During the journey, I also encountered stray dogs, capturing their moments of joy, hunger, and resilience amidst the harsh winter conditions.
